Preview: The Republic learns of an impending Separatist attack on Kamino, and Anakin and Obi-Wan hurry to the planet. After the Republic repulses the Separatists' diversionary assault, the real attack begins. Asajj Ventress, General Grievous and an army of droids rise out of the oceans, bent on destroying Kamino's clone production facilities. Rex, Cody, Fives and Echo lead the clones in a desperate defense of their home planet.
Greatest Scene: When the clones fight the droids in the barracks. As 99 provides ammo, the clones take out the droids one by one. When the droids are in position the clones begin the ambush. The clone cadets begin to battle the droids from behind while Commander Cody, Capitan Rex, Fives and Echo battle the droids from their forward position. When the clones run out of ammo 99 tries to get some more but gets shot by the droids. 99 sacrifices his life and proves himself a real soldier.

Secrets Revealed:
This episode is a sequel to the season one episode rookies. The complete order goes as follows: Clone Cadets, Rookies, ARC Troopers.
This episode is the first time General Grievous has met Asajj Ventress face-to-face.
Though not directly seen on screen, General Grievous arrives on the surface inside the debris dropped from the orbiting Separatist cruisers.
The series once again ensures that Anakin Skywalker and General Grievous do not cross paths. As explained in dialogue in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, they do not meet until after the death of Count Dooku.Next Episode: Supply Lines
